Ode to the Beater, A good, loyal, trusty and rusty steed

Well, the Beater is finally being retired today. She's earned it.
We've gone through 6 sets of tires
3 Mufflers
2 transmissions
innumerable wipers and light bulbs
and, by my estimate more than 70 oil changes
She still gets 20 mpg and it's a tough call.
I just don't feel secure driving in her anymore.
So today, I go to pick up a 2006 Chrylser Town and Country with under 18,000 miles on it.

January of 95-June '08
It's been a long ride car and you've been good to me.
I don't know how the new one is going to measure up.
He's got some big shoes to fill :(

Rest in peace, good ol' beater...may the grass cushion your tires, may the rain cool your hood and may the sun always shine on your trusty windshield...you will be missed...

Wow. I couldn't have said it any better than the princess's mommy. Big congrats on the new roadability duds. I'm sure Acer's personal bling factor has just shot through the roof!

That is so exciting! Everything is going your way! And I say nothing is as fun as dressing up a lovely little girl! You are going to have a blast and she is sooo pretty!! She will love all your attention. If Bailey can feel beautiful at 2 little miss is going to feel like a Miss America. Have any name ideas yet!?!? Acer and Anastasia???????haha That was MY choice instead of Alexandira but we gave Bman his pick. I am still keeping you in my prayers!!
LOVE and hugs,
Sharon

Isn't it something how attached we get to our old faithful wheels? I am still adjusting to my new ones but loving them more and more all the time and expect to cry buckets when we replace it...in 15+ years!

Enjoy your new ride. :)
